Returns, exchange, service and warranty

Within 14 days of receipt of your watch you can return it to us in its original packaging together with all guarantees and documentation provided. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. Further, it is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are received by us safely and in the same condition as they were received by you. Our returns policy is in addition to any other rights you have under the UK law.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs), a customer returning goods within seven days is entitled to a full refund. The law does not cover the cost of returning the unwanted items. Any watches received after seven days from date of purchase you will receive a full exchange or refund on the cost of the watch. Please send the watch back in to us with a cover note requesting this.

The goods must be returned to us within 14 days of delivery. We can provide you with an alternative if required (with a refund or charge if there is any difference in price). Refunds (where applicable) will be credited to the card used for the original purchase after receipt of the returned goods and satisfactory inspection by us. Please allow 7 working days for the refund.

Please note that during the Christmas period we will allow returns up to the 6th January (the watch will need to be received in our offices by that date to qualify) for a refund or exchange.

Faulty Goods

We do thoroughly inspect products for defects before they are dispatched, however occasionally they can get damaged during transit. Upon delivery please inspect the product(s) and notify us promptly of any dissatisfaction with your order. If you receive an item from us which is faulty, please contact us by email to inform us and send back the product within 14 days of the dispatch date of your order with a description of the problem. In the event of you returning faulty product(s) to us, we will also refund to you the cost of the return postage.

Service

Please allow the service department 21 working days to return a watch sent in for service. More if from overseas

Please enclose payment of £25 (or credit card payment) for postage and handling when returning a watch for service. Cheques to be made payable to Ebling Feres International Limited

Please include with all watches for servicing and your name, address, email, telephone numbers and a short explanation of what is wrong with the watch. We will also need a proof of purchase to qualify for our warranty.

Watch Warranty

Oskar Emil provides warranty coverage of 5 years movement warranty from the date of purchase. Our warranty covers the watch movement (except in the case of misuse) repair or replacement for the time period stated and excludes: watch case, watch bracelet, straps, crown/stem, crystal/glass, finishes, damage caused by excessive wear and tear and/or physical/accidental abuse, and damage resulting from wear under conditions exceeding the watch manufacturer’s water resistance limitations. All shipping and handling costs in connection with warranty service are the responsibility of the customer. This warranty is valid only at Oskar Emil or an official Oskar Emil watch repairer. Improper repair or warranty service performed by someone other than Oskar Emil will void this warranty. Oskar Emil DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF THIS WATCH, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Caring for Your Automatic Watch

Although automatic mechanical watches do not have batteries, some easy-to-follow maintenance is necessary for continued and long-lasting good use.

Self-winding automatic watches depend on the movement of the arm to operate and do require some winding, even if you wear your watch on a daily basis.

If you wear your Automatic watch every day, it is best to wind it once, every two weeks to keep the wheels in motion and oil fluid. Simply wind the crown (the same knob used to adjust the time and date) until you meet slight resistance.

If you do not wear your Automatic watch every day, you should try to wind it at least twice a week to ensure continuous operation, as well as keeping the inside mechanism in complete running order.

Changing time

When changing the time due to changes to winter and summer time or when going abroad please make sure that you have fixed the crown back in to place if not your watch will let in water. If you are not sure how to do this please consult your instruction manual or call us.

Changing battery

If you have the battery in your watch changed, you should be sure to have it resealed and pressure tested by the jeweller to ensure that it is still water resistant to the stated depth.
